FAQs
How will I know if Eos Psychiatry is a good fit for me?
At Eos Psychiatry, we offer a free one-time 20-minute video or telephonic consultation session so that you can ask any questions about our practice or approach.
We also treat your intake session as a consultation period. Upon conclusion of the intake session, you and your provider will decide, together, whether this is the right fit for you.
Do you offer in person sessions?
Eos Psychiatry operates exclusively over remote video conference. However, with advanced notice and additional costs incurred and due to special circumstances, we occasionally offer house calls to Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Brentwood, Mar Vista, and Bel Air combining the best of in-person care with the comforts of your home environment.
Do you accept medical insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, if you have an insurance plan with out-of-network benefits, Eos Psychiatry will, upon request, provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement of some portion of the cost of the visit. For more information, please contact your insurance plan to ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.
Do you have a cancellation policy?
Appointments must be cancelled or rescheduled at least 48 business hours prior to the start of your appointment or you will be charged the entire fee of the visit. For example, an 8am appointment on Wednesday must be changed by 7:59am Monday, but an 8am appointment on Tuesday must be changed by 7:59am the previous Friday.
How can I contact my provider in between visits?
Your provider will be there to support you in multiple ways, listed below. He or she is available every business day and guarantees a response within 48 business hours (unless otherwise stated in unusual circumstances).
Patients at Eos Psychiatry create an account in our electronic patient portal. The patient portal allows you to message your provider at any time through a secure, HIPAA-compliant application. This portal can be accessed through a home computer or a smartphone.
Your provider will provide you with their office voicemail.
Your provider will provide you with their office email. Please note: unlike the other options, email is not HIPAA-protected and should be used at your own discretion with knowledge of the risks involved.
For true, life-threatening emergencies of any kind, including suicidal ideation, please call 911, 988 (Suicide and Crisis lifeline), or your local suicide crisis line, and promptly present to your nearest emergency room. Please do not leave messages regarding life-threatening emergencies without first obtaining emergency care.
